Elementary School
- The Abundant Life Christian Academy elementary school is composed of grades one through five. The Academy features the accelerated "A Beka" curriculum which has helped our students meet with great success on national standardized tests as well as interscholastic academic and fine arts competition.
- The elementary school is best characterized as "multi-faceted," allowing each child to find the God given talent within him or herself. We seek to develop an academic and spiritual foundation which will support our students into middle school and beyond. The curriculum includes Bible study, traditional academic subjects, enrichment and computer classes. Emphasis is placed on the development of children's thinking, decision making and problem solving abilities.
Art
Art is the subject that truly allows the children to freely express themselves using his God given talents. The Bible and God's creation will be a central focus as the children paint, draw, color, and take their treasures home to mom and dad.
Computers
PK-3 and up will have computers in their classrooms. Basic computer skills will be taught to all students. Personal computer time is provided on a regular basis. Also, students in grades Kindergarten through eighth will have weekly computer classes.
Library
Each student will have the opportunity to be taught library skills in the school media center. Students may check out books on their specific library day. The fine for overdue books is 10 cents per day, overdue days include weekend days.
Honor Choir
Music theory and appreciation is taught in our music classes to all students of ALCA. Students will participate in musical productions, competitions, Elementary Honor Choir, and instrumental classes, as well as use their voices for praise and worship.
Physical Education
Physical education is required for all grade levels. Kindergarten through third grade will not dress out in P.E. uniforms. Grades 4-8 will wear the school P.E. uniform. It can be purchased through Sunshine Uniforms. If your child has an injury and cannot participate, we must have a doctor's note and your child will be required to do a written assignment for that day's grade.
Spanish
These classes are scheduled as a part of the school's academic requirements. PK-3 through middle school students receive instruction. Early instruction can set the foundation for further language requirements on the secondary level.
